The EEG & Snoring Clinic provides HPCSA-accredited diagnostic sleep studies and EEG services to patients from Port Shepstone, Durban, and across KwaZulu-Natal. We welcome referrals from all disciplines and are committed to rapid turnaround and clear communication with referring doctors.
Undiagnosed sleep disorders are common in virtually every clinical specialty. OSA affects an estimated 25–30% of adult males and 10–15% of adult females — and the majority remain undiagnosed. Sleep-deprived EEG significantly increases diagnostic yield in first-seizure workup. CBT-I outperforms benzodiazepines for chronic insomnia in long-term outcomes.
We make the referral process as simple as possible. A brief referral letter is all that is needed — we handle medical aid pre-authorisation, patient education, scheduling, and post-study follow-up, and return a detailed clinical report to you promptly.

Whether you are a GP, neurologist, ENT, cardiologist, or mental health professional, we have the services your patients need.
General Practitioners
GPs are our most common referral source. We accept referrals for any suspected sleep disorder — snoring, sleep apnoea, insomnia, EEG, parasomnias, and more. We provide detailed written reports and welcome communication about shared patients.
Neurologists
We offer the full range of EEG services — routine, sleep-deprived, ambulatory 24–72hr, and video-EEG — with specialist-level reporting. For neurologists managing epilepsy or unexplained neurological events, we are your South Coast diagnostic partner.
ENT Surgeons
Pre-operative sleep studies for patients undergoing upper airway surgery (UPPP, tonsillectomy, septoplasty) and post-operative follow-up. We provide objective surgical outcome data to support your clinical decision-making.
Cardiologists & Physicians
Sleep apnoea is prevalent in hypertension, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and metabolic syndrome. We provide rapid-access sleep studies for your high-risk cardiac patients and communicate results promptly.
Psychiatrists & Psychologists
Sleep disorders and mental health conditions are tightly interlinked. We provide objective sleep assessment for patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and bipolar disorder, and offer CBT-I and neurofeedback as adjuncts to mental health treatment.
Paediatricians
We have experience with paediatric sleep disorders, including snoring, paediatric OSA, parasomnias, and sleep-related epilepsy. We welcome referrals from paediatricians and child neurologists.

Simple, fast, and hassle-free.
Send Referral
Email or fax a referral letter with clinical summary to our admin team. Include relevant history, current medications, and the specific investigation requested.
Patient Contact
We contact your patient within one business day to book their appointment, explain what to expect, and obtain any required medical aid pre-authorisation.
Assessment & Study
Your patient attends for consultation and/or their diagnostic study. All investigations are performed and interpreted at our accredited facility at Hibiscus Private Hospital.
Report to Referring Doctor
A detailed specialist report is sent to you within 5–7 business days of the study. We are available for direct clinical discussion on any case.
